                                                              Rule of Thirds

This week's assignment was to shoot with the rule of thirds. My goal was to apply this rule in a different aspect in each photo. I attempted so, by taking a different approach with each photo by shooting with different angles, a variety of subjects, and varying editing styles. Ultimately I wanted  wide genre of photographs that exemplified this rule of thirds, so to understand and view this style of photographing in different ways.

  1. I like how each one of your photos demonstrates the rule of thirds is a different way. I really like your fourth photo though, the way you photographed it made the stairs and plants look super interesting.

  2. Really nice photos. I feel though that with some of them, the subject does not stand out completely, such as your first photo. I do really like the picture of the garbage can with the street on the right side of the frame. Helped exemplify your subject. Only suggestion would be finding methods of making your subjects stand out more, such as zooming in or with effects, but nonetheless, good job!

  3. all of your pictures use the rule of thirds in a varied way which is not easy to do with this assignment. most people have pictures of an object in the side of the frame but not yours, i really appreciate the creative way you constructed each picture. The whole set benefitted alot from being in black and white because it conveyed a street theme which helps tie all the images together.

  4. great pictures. But photos two, three, and nine do not have subjects in a third of the photo. they take up half of the photo.
