This week I focused more on street objects and especially on texture. In my last series my focus was primarily on the walls of buildings and capturing the texture of buildings. I decided to expand from that idea on to more specific objects that I found on the street. I wanted my series to be focused on the texture and capturing the details of my objects. I also wanted to experiment further with color. In my last series, most of my photos were in black and white so in my newest series I emphasized on bright, vibrant colors to bring out more detailing in my photos. I also experimented with geometric shapes to create an abstract and creative vibe to my photos.

For this assignment I shot up-close street objects that heavily focused on texture and depth.  I tried to get up-close and capture the texture of the objects so that it's almost tangible. This week I focused primarily on walls of buildings and simplistic street objects, but in my next set I hope to capture more detailed and creative objects on and off the street.

In this set, I used negative space as well as shadows to create photos that dramatically contrasted both light and dark colors. I experimented with nature, people, objects and natural lighting. I particularly liked shooting the tall, peculiar looking trees that reside around the neighborhood. Especially with the bright lighting, the silhouettes of the trees created a dark shadowy look. I also really liked shooting the reflections of objects and people on their own because I thought it created a wispy and somewhat ghosty feel to my photos.
