In this series I tried to take a more rustic and somewhat vintage approach on my photos. I wanted to capture the beautiful, old and rustic architecture of San Francisco. I focused on sides of building, interesting texture, and really striving to capture the beautiful imperfections. I also experimented with different angles to try and maximize my photos potential and capture my objects from different perspectives.
I think you did a really good job of finding interesting textures. I like how all your photos always seem very bright. My favorite picture is your sixth photo.
ReplyDeleteexcellent pictures Lian. I especially enjoy the picture of the rusted lock.
ReplyDeleteGreat job Lian. I love how you use original objects in each photo, which keeps all of the photos intriguing and interesting. I love your first and second photo, they are simple objects yet the textures bring out their complexity.
ReplyDeleteGreat 3rd draft. I really like the comparison between the two locks in your sixth picture.
ReplyDeleteGreat series. i really like the third one from the bottom. i think that the angle you captured it at is very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job at capturing your objects from different perspectives. Clear improvement from your last series. Great work.
ReplyDeleteI really love that line: "beautiful imperfections." I think it encapsulates the strengths of your series really well. I love the color in the second that, and the reflection shot.
ReplyDeleteI think these photos all compliment each other very well. Even though most of these objects are somewhat old they look pure and new at the same time.
ReplyDeletei really like your use of everyday objects and scenes. the rust, metal and decay in each photo is represented very well and gives a vintage look like you wanted. your use of angles make the images more dynamic as well
ReplyDeleteThis is a great third draft, Lian. I really like the more rustic approach because it shows a different style to street photography. Also your ability to capture architecture and street treasures from different angles creates a more engaging subject.
